I have been visiting Nettie Bay since I was a little girl. I now take my own family every year. From fishing, swimming, boating, hiking and campfire stories in summer, to deer camp for my husband in winter... Nettie Bay is our favorite!
Mark and Jackie Schuler are an amazing couple. They made our stay precisely what we were looking for. Mrs. Jackie’s cooking was out of this world and Mark’s guiding was top notch. Christine and Vinnie made us feel like family. The setting is serene and cabins cozy. A splendid array of animals around the lake and patio. Perfect place to reconnect with Mother Nature.
For me this is a five star resort because I was looking for a good old fashioned Up North Michigan vacation. This is THE place. Very pleasant hosts. Outstanding fishing for bass,. northern pike, perch and panfish. A lot of open, uninhabited shoreline. A town with supermarket etc. Come for the relaxation, stay for the loons,.great blue heron and.other wildlife. I'll be returning.
I was there visiting for the day, but it looked like an awesome place to take the family for a vacation.
We stayed here so that we could paddle the Ocqueoc River and had a great time. The lakes were full of fish, and the owners were extremely friendly and helpful.
We stayed here in mid July and were very pleased with our stay! Our girls enjoyed the playscape and fishing in Lake Nettie. We absolutely loved our cottage. It was the perfect accommodation for our family of 5. The owners were super friendly and welcoming. We left a deposit for next year on the morning we left. Looking forward to coming back and making this an annual trip for our family.
The setting for the cozy lodge and cabins is perfectly picturesque. Getting away from life’s hustle was so refreshing. The hosts are so kind. And the home-cooked meals were just wonderful! I wish there were more than 5 stars to give as a rating!!
